Menstrual Equity

Menstrual Equity

Impact To The Community:

Access to menstrual health products is a barrier and economic burden for our communities, especially for low-income folks and people of color. The County of San Diego addresses the economic burden that disproportionately impacts low income folks and people of color when it comes to accessing mentsrual health products. Having this access to menstrual health products will allow our communities to properly maintain menstrual hygiene, while not having to compromise paying for rent, food, and other basic necessities.

Initiative:

Menstrual products to be made available at ALL county facilities (parks, rec centers, etc) long term (expansion of the pilot program).
